So, LO starts normally, but crashes during use? Sometimes or each time?
Please paste info from Help-About.
You'd you really reset or rename LO user folder?
Did you try to change Skia in Tools-Options-View?

LO writer freezes totally, and locks Win10 for a minute or two, then crashes. This happened 5-6 times this evening when editing *.docx files created by MS Office and downloaded through Dropbox.com for editing on laptop. Has not occurred previously when I created/edited my own *.odt files.

If there's a way to generate logcat/error log let me know and I'll upload.

Thank you.

Skia was enabled for me - disabled, will test.

Also "use JRE" was enabled, but I don't have JRE installed, so disabled that too.

This could be DOCX bug. For that, sample is needed, without personal info.

Debug info can be obtained with https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/How_to_get_a_backtrace_with_WinDbg but that can only help if there's a developer asking for it.
