Created attachment 181239 [details] stack Turned on JUMBO Mode... Hitting Ctrl+arrows on an empty sheet, I can get to cell XFD16000000 -- ok, now for real data... With a fairly large sheet, a progress bar would be nice. It takes just over 4 minutes to load/recover a 5543960 row sheet. One person in my team informed me he has a sheet with over 16M rows... (of course... :) Hit Ctrl+downarrow instantly crashes. Recover; this time, use scroll bar to move down the sheet. Got down to about 1/5 of the 5543960 rows and boom! Tried again, this time sneaking up on the old limit of 1048576 rows; crashes when I get there. My system is quite capable: Operating System: Mageia 9 KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.93.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.18.7-server-1.mga9 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 20 × 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-12700K Memory: 125.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT
Thanks for reporting this issue. Very large sheet has been greatly improved in LibreOffice 7.4 and master. Could you please try to reproduce it with a master build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ ? You can install it alongside the standard version. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the master build
[I didn't scroll down far enough and grabbed the .deb version. Used "fakeroot alien -rv --scripts" to convert to .rpm and install...] In today's 7.5 alpha, crash is resolved. Loaded a 2.8GB (5,543,960 x 75) sheet that took 4 minutes +/- a few seconds to load. So far, looks good.
