Dear, at moment we can hide the menu-bar on grouped, tabbed, standard and standard single interfaces, except in "contextual single". When I navigate to Tools -> Customize, I and only add the menu-bar entry to the "standard" and "standard single" interfaces. It would be great to have that option as well in contextual single. Bests,
I can't confirm with Version: 7.3.5.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 184fe81b8c8c30d8b5082578aee2fed2ea847c01 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL In "contextual single" I can add "menubar" with customize dialog to any toolbar I like. Please retest.

I just tried on 7.3.5.2 (see pictures above), but I can't find the target "contextual single". Am I missing something ? In addition : I am running LibreOffice on Ubuntu 22.04
(In reply to contact from comment #4) > I just tried on 7.3.5.2 (see pictures above), but I can't find the target > "contextual single". Am I missing something ? Perhaps. "Contextual single" is not a toolbar, but a user interface. So please try the following steps: 1. Open writer and choose View -> User Interface -> Contextual Single -> Apply -> Close 2. Tools -> Customize -> Toolbars 3. Enter Menubar in search field and choose a toolbar (for example standard) 4. Add menubar item to standard toolbar -> OK Now menubar icon is available in selected toolbar and you're able to hide menu Does this work for you? => NEEDINFO
Unfortunately, it doesn't work. I tried with all three standard, standard (single mode) and standard (viewing mode) toolbars 🤔
I forgot to mention that adding the menu item in the standard and standard (single mode) correctly adds it to the corresponding user interface. I don't know however what is standard (viewing mode) toolbar.

(In reply to contact from comment #7) > I forgot to mention that adding the menu item in the standard and standard > (single mode) correctly adds it to the corresponding user interface. So I don't understand the problem. However, I don't think, that this is a bug, but a question of guidance. So I recommend to use https://ask.libreoffice.org/ for this. I change status to RESOLVED NOTABUG. Feel free to change it to UNCONFIRMED, if you disagree.
Hi, To make it clear: In Tools -> Customize -> Toolbars, I can add the "hide menu" button on : - standard - standard (single mode) - standard (viewing mode) Result : these correctly add the "hide menu" is visible on "Standard toolbard" and "Standard single" user interface variant, ONLY. What is missing : contextual single. There is no may to add it there. Can you confirm that you can add it to contextual single ui ?

You mix toolbars and unser interfaces: standard, standard (singel mode), standard (viewing mode) are toolbars and therefor you won't find the UI "Contextual Single" there. Please follow my steps from comment 5.
