Description: after my deb10 to deb11 upgrade i got a new LO (7.0.4.2)! thank yu very much for it. BUT now a lot of windows (e.g. csv import, option windows, ...) are to big for my netbook 1024x600 screens. AND the windows can not be maximized (means fitted to 600), which results in not beeing able to see (use!) whats below 600! maybe 1024x600 screens are starving out and maybe i'm already the only one on universe using LO with a 600px screen, BUT: since years i try to bring in in different projects that windows should be made dynamical in size. who knows what future will bring. maybe we come back to 500? would be nice to be able to use LO on such devices also. thanks Steps to Reproduce: 1. localc 2. import csv 3. buttons are not visible 1. lowriter/ ... 2. options/customize 3. what is below 600px? Actual Results: what is below 600px? Expected Results: at least maximize window should get a vertical scrollbar for seeing all content. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: NA
LibreOffice is not intended to be used on displays with less than 768px https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/system-requirements/ And, the StartCenter launcher will mangle desktop sessions with overheight frames. However, if you insist. Use a direct launch for each LO component (from menu or via system command line). It will compose into the available vertical space and be useable to a point. There are some dialogs that will not fit into a 600px frame, but they are few.
thanks for comment. it is a pitty, especialy since i work all the time with lo on my 600px and only a few windows should be adapted for vertical scrolling.
