Description: Hello. Today I have a pretty annoying bug in LibreOffice. its that when I change ANY settings in the preferences window, LibreOffice doesn't change anything. I also double checked it by changing the LibreOffice theme from white to dark. and when I restarted LibreOffice.. well nothing changed. I didn't enable OpenGL or OpenCL. I even tried googling it and nothing is helpful to me Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open LibreOffice 2.Open Preferences window and change any settings 3.Restart LibreOffice if required, or wait for the changes to be applied Actual Results: The setting that you changed should be immediately noticeable to you. some settings like disabling hardware acceleration requires a restart. so when you restart it should work Expected Results: After I changed a setting like the icon theme. I didn't see the updated icon theme I also tried to change the colour of LibreOffice from white to black. but nothing happened when I did Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: The software should have immediately changed the settings

Can not confirm on Windows builds. When in a module other than Start Center changes (e.g. Tools -> Options -> View -> 'Icon style') are applied as the Options dialog is 'OK' & closed (from Start Center on launch of a app module, or restart). Its probably because of the trackpad issue on my MacBook Pro I have another issue tho, when I check the 'Use Hardware Acceleration' option and click of it unchecks itself. I have an intel iris plus graphics card. why's that?

I have an intel iris plus graphics > card. why's that? I don't know for sure on macOS, but on Windows builds the 'Use hardware acceleration' checkbox is non-responsive while the 'Use Skia for all rendering' is enabled. Which is consistent. IIUC, there are three rendering modes--CPU only, CPU w/HA, GPU (Skia) [with or without Vulkan via its two checkboxes]. The 'Use hardware acceleration' controls the CPU only vs. CPU w/HA. It has no function when Skia is enabled and on Windows builds is checked enabled by default and is greyed out.
Cannot reproduce for icon theme or Application Colors when a document is open in LibreOffice. The only place I am not seeing the changes reflected is Start Center for which I filed https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152485 @zamil: Could you please try this with a current main build and let us know if this is persisting for you. Also which macOS version are you running?
