Description Knickedick 2022-08-20 20:23:16 UTC
Description:
This bug is ANCIENT but has never been addressed.
When you first install the Mac version of LibreOffice (or install an new version) and then go “Help > Check for Updates” the action in the window stops, nothing happens and a graphics bug appears: “Checking...”, a (frozen) spinning wait cursor and ”0%”. Your only option now is to click “Cancel”.
This bug has been around for MANY YEARS but has never been fixed.
This only happens ONCE but ALWAYS after you have resinstalled LibreOffice.
If you quit or cancel the update and check and for updates again, it will work.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Reinstall LibreOffice
2. Select Help > Check for Updates
3. (Cancel)

Actual Results:
The action in the window stops, nothing happens and a graphics bug appears: “Checking...”, a (frozen) spinning wait cursor and ”0%”. Your only option now is to click “Cancel”.

Expected Results:
Nothing. I have to click “Cancel”. (If you quit or cancel the update and check and for updates again, it will work.)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Check for utdates and display the message “Status: LibreOffice 7.3 is up to date.”

Hi all,

I've updated to last Libre Office (Brazil PT) version 24.8.1.2, but when I click in Check for updates it is appearing to update to the same version LibreOffice 24.8.1

Thanks,
Alex
