Description Tec 2022-08-22 03:14:09 UTC
Description:
Spreadsheet freezes & crashes when working with a multitab, large sheeet.
Problem first seen in 7.305.?? Stable... , I upgraded to latest version:
     f85e47c Version 7.4.0.3, tag libreoffice-7.4.0.3
Problem persists. Some small recent data loss.
Contact me if you need more detail.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create several large (40 column x 400+ row) sheets in ~6 tabs
2.Highlight/copy ~20 column x 50 rows down in a sheet
3.Calc should freeze & lose the operation data.
*... Operation attempted with mouse highlighting & CTRL button drag/drop

Actual Results:
I lost some small edits to the sheet.
I repeated this error consistently in 7.3.5.?? and fresh install of v. 7.4.0.3

Expected Results:
Calc should have dragged & dropped the cells without freeze/crash

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Issue seems recent ~ v. 7.3.xx ...
I have used Libre Office without issue for years.
Problem is serious. Should be addressed ASAP to preserve LibreOffice reputation for reliability.

Could you please post the help -> about information? More concrete I want to now if you using Skia Vulkan or Skia Raster rendering.

If Vulkan, try to disable it: Tools -> Options -> View -> check Force Skia software rendering and restart
