The bug report was originally in Chinese. This is the translation:

In the document, according to the layout requirements, the picture will be zoomed in and processed, but in actual reading, the picture needs to be temporarily zoomed in and previewed. In response to this usage requirement, it is recommended to add auxiliary functions, and the image auxiliary tool "magnifying glass" can be used to zoom in and check carefully. I will give screenshots of this function of other software (WPS2019) for reference. This function is very useful, please add it.

So this is not a generic magnifying glass but an option to temporary enlarge images sized "fit to cell size". While it sounds like abusing a spreadsheet program as a kind of database, the wish is comprehensible. Could be either per interaction as suggested or like a tooltip on hover. Samuel, what do you think?
