Description: I have LO 7.3.5.2 installed. On Sept 9, 2022, I trie d to check for updates. Select Help-> Check for Updates results is ==> LibreOffice 7.3 is up to date. But looking at the LibreOffice website shows that 7.4.0 was available as of Aug 18,2022. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start LO base or Calc. 2. Select Help Tab 3. Select Check for updates Actual Results: Message LibreOffice 7.3 is up to date. is displayed Expected Results: LibreOffice 7.4.0 is available for update or a similar message and a way to install the newest update. This bug should be fixed. It gives a false sense that LO software is up to date when it isn't.

There is logic in the update check such that you will not receive notice for a 7.4 build update until 7.4.3 is released. So that is as intended. Meanwhile 7.3.6.2 has been built and is posted, the update notice will refresh at some point in the next couple weeks. And 7.4.1 rc1 is available now with 7.4.1 rc2 coming this week. I would avoid the 7.4.0 release as it has known issues. At any time you can directly download from project archive [1], via a mirror listed the details metadata please, e.g. either 7.3.6.2 or 7.4.1.1.
