Description: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80934 added a document filter at the top of the StartCenter. Currently `All Applications` shows all documents. That naming is confusing since the filter is not about applications but about documents. Switching to `All Documents` would provide a more intuitive UI which users will have a better time using. Steps to Reproduce: Open StartCenter in recent 7.5 main build. Actual Results: Filter: All Applications Expected Results: Filter: All Documents Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.5.0.0.alpha0+ / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 9940a5dce79fe9dc3e6ff0302c9be8c7d1648f67 CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 12.6; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: de-DE (en_DE.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded

I agree to this request but I would rather prefer "All File Types". Set to NEW
Let's hear the opinion of the UX team.
Isn't the filter about modules aka applications since we open odt, docx, txt, etc, in Writer? Somewhere else we go with "Writer: Documents, Calc, Spreadsheets..." which sounds good to me (considering also the effort for l10n to not translate all variants). And given we have Writer _documents_ I wonder is "All Documents" distinguishes nicely.
No further opinion, let's do. The label is set in sfx2/uiconfig/ui/startcenter.ui as item of the GtkComboBox with the id cbFilter.
AungKhantOo committed a patch related to this issue. It has been pushed to "master": https://git.libreoffice.org/core/commit/a67398d1947a075c6e84ea8321ed47feb70521a9 tdf#151159 Rename All Applications to All Documents in Start Center It will be available in 24.8.0. The patch should be included in the daily builds available at https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours. More information about daily builds can be found at: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Testing_Daily_Builds Affected users are encouraged to test the fix and report feedback.
The Template Manager also talks about All Applications in its filter, but I guess it can stay that way as it's about templates and not about documents.
(In reply to Buovjaga from comment #7) > The Template Manager also talks about All Applications in its filter, but I > guess it can stay that way as it's about templates and not about documents. One discrepancy here is that now the Start Center Templates view says All Documents.
@Bouvjaga: aren't templates also documents? And in both cases Recent Documents + Templates view teh dropdown has always listed "Text Documents". Wouldn't it seem consistent to also use "All Documentes" terminology for the Templates View as well?
