Description: When saving a document for the first time in LibreOffice 7.3.2.2 (updated) on Mac OSX High Sierra 10.13.6, the app hangs if I either try to NAME the file or try to select another document format such as word. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open LibreOffice 2.Select NEW TEXT DOCUMENT 3.Click the SAVE button or CMD-S 4.Attempt to name the file or select a different file format Actual Results: The app hangs and must be closed via FORCE QUIT Expected Results: I should be able to name the document and/or select a different format Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Version: 7.3.2.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 49f2b1bff42cfccbd8f788c8dc32c1c309559be0 CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.13.6; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
@Steve: 1) do you have any of the macOS accessibility functions activated, e.g. VoiceOver, TexttoSpeech, SpeechToText, or any other accessibility tool activated, such as screen magnification ? Usage of accessibility tools with LO is known to cause crashes. Unfortunately, the LibreOffice code still relies on a now deprecated accessibility API Additionally, some mice, graphic/drawing tablets and other input and/or screen output devices may try and implement accessibility calls within LO that aren't supported. 2) Do you have any of the following LibreOffice configuration options activated (under Preferences) : - Skia rendering (known to causes issues with certain graphic chipsets) ? - Automatic backup of LibreOffice documents ? - Automatic update search for newer versions of LibreOffice ?
Hi all, I can confirm this bug. It seems to happen when I have assigned a fixed Desktop to LibreOffice but move it to one different from that: - Option-Click on the LibreOffice icon - Options -> This Desktop (pins it to the desktop it is on now) - Move the Libre Office window to another Desktop (e.g. hold-click on the menu back, change desktops with a shortcut) - File -> New -> Text Document - File -> Save or Cmd-S => the save dialog looks garbled on my screen and I have to hit ESC to close it The same does not happen on the desktop assigned to Libre I also just managed to make LibreOffice hang by showing the desktop while the dialog is open.

Hi, Alex -- 1 - no, I do not have any assistive tools activated. I do not use any trackpad or mouse other than the built-in hardware. 2 - Skia rendering is not enabled. Always Create Backup Copy is unchecked. Check for updates automatically is checked.
