Confirmed. When rendered to Slide show the transition of the text starts Black --> fast changes to White --> then fades by gradient into full Red. But while on the SB Animation deck, playing the animation does not start fully white but it also does not show the gradations transitioning to full red. So guess we could say the slideshow is more correct than the SB Animation preview? Which way is the transition supposed to work? Are we missing a fade from black while bringing up the replacement color? For me all is black... I never get any red or white. It seems the effect does not work at all in Linux. Sorry I forgot to mention that...

Thanks for the info. Now I can reproduce the problem in Linux as well... it goes from black to white and then red. It should go straight from black to red. Changing the font color to black (instead of automatic) "fixes" the problem. But using automatic should work as well.
I can reproduce the problem since at least Version: 7.2.7.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 8d71d29d553c0f7dcbfa38fbfda25ee34cce99a2 CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: pt-BR (pt_BR.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: CL
