LibreOffice x86 from version 7.4.0 on up through the current master crashes when run under Windows 7 x64 if experimental features are enabled under Tools - Options - Advanced and then clicking on Apply and Restart Now.

This is a different bug than that of bug 151626. That bug concerned an x86 build of LibreOffice on an x86 build of Windows 7. It concerned a crash that happened with default options, beginning with version 7.1.

This bug is for an x86 build of LibreOffice on an x64 build of Windows 7. The regression for this bug began with version 7.4 and is for a crash that only occurs after the option for experimental features is enabled and applied and the Restart Now button is pressed.

I created a new install of Windows 7x64 and installed the KB3063858 patch. This did not fix the problem. The crash still happened when the program restarted after enabling the experimental features option.

Thanks for clarification, sorry for confusion. Back to unconfirmed then.

I should have thought to test this before, but enabling the experimental features causes LibreOffice to also crash on an x86 build of Windows 7.

Hi David,
it doesn't make sense.
The mentioned commit is in master and libreoffice-7-5. This report is against LibreOffice 7.4, isn't it ?

There is no basis, but I think the following Five Reports are relevant.

Version 7.5 Windows 32-bit crashes on startup
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152346 : Windows7
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152384 : Parallel Install

Version 7.4 Windows 32-bit crashes with experimental features enabled
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151540 : Winsows7
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152264 : Parallel Install
https://portableapps.com/node/67042 : Portable Version(Windows 32-bit)

I requested to fix it in the Next Version 7.4.?.
Unfortunately, it was ignored.
