Description santiagogilfrancisco 2022-10-18 19:53:30 UTC
Description:
Doing a report with Base and adding the Report Header which only should appear once (with the report title for example) and a Page Report which repeat every page (with data labels for example). The Report Header should be above the Page Header but it’s placed below.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a Report in Design View
2.Insert Report Header/ Footer. Write something like "REPORT TITLE" in the Report Header
3.Save and execute the report

Actual Results:
The Report Header appears on only in the first page (good) below the Page Header

Expected Results:
The Report Header should appear on the first page ABOVE the Page Header

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

So is this a request to change the current behaviour?

Thank you for the report.

Page headers and footers that are repeated on all pages are respectively above and below all page content, and their position is the same on all page – which couldn't be done properly if it was placed below the report header.

This is a norm and expected in Writer, so I don't see why it should be different header.

If need be, once created, the report can be edited, and the first page given the "First page" style, which will remove the page header and footer while the rest of the report still has them.

My take is is "not a bug" but others can confirm.

@sgilfra

Seems that there was already a discussion about this, that you initiated in the following thread:

https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/report-header-above-page-header/83029/2

Seems that the opinion there is divided as to whether this is a bug.
