Shortcut works form me on Windows. Perhaps clear user profile, or check Tools -> Customization for shortcut assigned to .uno:Italic, and if the Toolbar DF button action applies.

A search of both the internet and the LO docs shows no mention of a "Toolbar DF button", please explain your abbreviation? "if the... action applies"? What does that mean?!
Checked shortcut, it is properly assigned.
The Control-I shortcut works correctly on my other machines, including a laptop with the same LMint system.

It works fine in LO 7.6 Dev under Windows 10(x64). Can't reproduce.

> A search of both the internet and the LO docs shows no mention of a "Toolbar
> DF button",
I assume, it's the italics-button in formatting toolbar.

David, do you have same problem in Safe Mode (Help -> Restart in Safe Mode)?
