Created attachment 183250 [details] ODG with gradient background and some shapes I have a Draw document with a Page background in colour or gradient, see attached odg (22kb). I export the document to JPG (Selection unticked for all exports) then the page background is exported. If I export the same document to SVG then the Page background is not visible. (38kb) If I delete the Page background and export to SVG then the page background is still not there but the file size is reduced. (14kb) So it looks as though something from the page background is included in the exported SVG but not correctly. Arising from https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/backgrounds-in-draw-and-exporting-to-svg/83283 Version: 7.4.2.1 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 681d65acd9ede00dd724d6716f21cabfdcc95bd2 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22621; UI render: default; VCL: win Locale: en-NZ (en_NZ); UI: en-GB Calc: CL But same results from 6.2.8.2
REPRODUCIBLE with reporter'ssample document Installation of Version: 7.3.3.2 (x64) Build ID: d1d0ea68f081ee2800a922cac8f79445e4603348 CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: de-DE | Calc: threaded | ElementaryTheme | My normal User Profile This and all followingtests: same result with reporter'ssample document and own sample document. Still REPRODUCIBLE with Server Installation of Version: 7.5.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 2a7fcaf582df3ada57ca519b50e29011973a1b6f CPU-Threads: 12; BS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: default; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-US Calc: Calc: threaded | Elementary Theme | Special devUserProfile (based on my normal one). Was ok with Portable Version: 6.4.7.2 (x86) Build-ID: 639b8ac485750d5696d7590a72ef1b496725cfb5 Additional info: a) Query <https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/buglist.cgi?cmdtype=dorem&remaction=run&namedcmd=DUPs151746&sharer_id=19321> showed possibly related issues: "Bug 115549 - Slide background not exported to SVG" "Bug 61314 - Export to SVG ignores background color set via direct formatting"
b) I tried all exported.svg with SeaMonkey and LibO 7.3.3.2 DRAW. Missing background all the same in both viewers
I confirm the behavior but I'm not sure it's a bug The background is a page's property, it isn'r any shape or object... Xisco, should the SVG file support the background of some page?
This seems to have begun at the below commit. Adding Cc: to Marco Cecchetti ; Could you possibly take a look at this one? Thanks fd36426aa93acef292a9d422d931411ab5e8e2e9 is the first bad commit commit fd36426aa93acef292a9d422d931411ab5e8e2e9 Author: Jenkins Build User <tdf@pollux.tdf> Date: Tue Jan 26 19:25:09 2021 +0100 source fd84bce804279b881099a7c0d44136d75d015ca1 https://git.libreoffice.org/core/+/fd84bce804279b881099a7c0d44136d75d015ca1

Note that it still works for Impress.
Dear Alistair Saywell, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug
