Description: I had created a large, multi-page table containing loads of accumulated data in Writer. I decided I needed to reorganize the columns a little, so I highlighted a column and started dragging it to the new location. Before I let go of the mouse button, the entire window disappeared, and a small window came up letting me know that the program crashed, and said that my data up to that point will now be saved. I clicked ok. Once the program came up, the entire table was gone, and many hours of work was lost. I tried reloading the file that I had been saving it to, but of course that's the one that the window I clicked ok on had saved to, which means that not only did I lose the data with the crash, but my saved backup as well. Perhaps the crash window should save to an alternate backup file instead of overwriting the working file. Steps to Reproduce: I haven't tried to reproduce the problem, as I've never seen this happen before doing similar tasks. I would have to completely redo hours of work to replicate the exact situation, and knowing my luck it probably won't happen next time I try. Actual Results: None Expected Results: None Reproducible: Didn't try User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: None
Just to clarify: I did save my data (I always do, religiously). However, LibreOffice overwrote that saved file with everything except the table when the crash occurred and the crash window told me data would be saved.
Please write here info from LibreOffice's Help-About dialog (use Copy button there) How many pages with the table did you create? How many columns did your table contain? Was there some nested tables in your table?
