Description: Connecting to an ssh/sshfs share using xfce thunar, I previously used to be able to open a file (odt, xlx, docx, etc) remotely and save it properly using libreoffice6. I followed this bug https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98897 as I had this same issue with libreoffice5. When I upgraded to libreoffice6 then it was fixed and files would open and save approproately. Now with libreoffice7 I am back to the same issue as libreoffice5 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a ssh/sshfs share/filesystem using xfce4 thunar 2. (double) Click any file associated with libre office to open it on the remote server/share 3. Actual Results: File does not open Expected Results: file should open and user be able to edit it and save file Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.3.6.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 30(Build:2) CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: x11 Locale: en-CA (en_CA.UTF-8); UI: en-US Ubuntu package version: 1:7.3.6-0ubuntu0.22.04.2 Calc: threaded
Michael: thought you might be interested in this one. Indeed, I wonder if it could be related with ucb/curl part.
Craig, could you please try version 7.6 to see if the issue persists?
@ Stéphane Guillou (stragu) Version: 7.6.2.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 56f7684011345957bbf33a7ee678afaf4d2ba333 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-CA (en_CA.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded I can drag and drop an odt file onto the default LO window and the file seems to open but before it opens I'm given a 'Document in Use' popup and it tells me that 'This file has been locked by another user' and gives me two opens: To open it read only or open a copy. If I chose read only I can open the file but since read-only, cannot test to see if I can make changes and save it. Let me know if you need more info from me.

It seems like a regression. As a workaround, opening files directly via libreoffice /path/to/file.odt in terminal still works, but it breaks file associations and normal desktop workflows. Hope this gets addressed soon!
@ chervilawake@gmail.com I have recently upgraded to libreoffice 25 (25.2.1.2) and I don't get this bug with this newer version. You could try upgrading to LO 25 to see if this fixes this for you.
