Description: Lines that are used for the chart border are displayed blurred. Blurred lines are displayed not only in the drop down. If I actually apply the style to the chart, the border around the chart is also blurred. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a chart 2. Goto its properties (whole chart area), area "Line" 3. Open the drop down list with the line styles Actual Results: Line samples are displayed blurred. Expected Results: Line samples are displayed without blurring. Version: 7.4.2.3 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 382eef1f22670f7f4118c8c2dd222ec7ad009daf CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: threaded
Please can you test disabling 'Skia', Menu/Tools/LibreOffice/View
In the cell border format, lines are not blurred in the dropdown.
Without skia, it's still blurred, see the attachment. I also tried to disable the options "Use antialiasing" and "Use hardware acceleration", it did not change anything.
Created attachment 183656 [details] Dropdown with "Use skia" disabled
Also I noticed that after selecting a thin line as the border for the chart, the line only appers on the right and at the bottom, but not on the left and the top side of the chart. But this is another issue.
I can also confirm with: Version: 7.4.2.3 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 382eef1f22670f7f4118c8c2dd222ec7ad009daf CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: de-DE (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Same thing in dialog: Right click on chart area > Format chart area > Borders. But it's also true for other things, e.g. shapes, text frames... Would be nice to have them as neat as the line styles of cell / table borders. Looks like it has been like that for a while. Also confirmed in: Version: 6.3.6.2 Build ID: 2196df99b074d8a661f4036fca8fa0cbfa33a497 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; Locale: de-DE (en_AU.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded
Dear fml2, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
