Description: LibreOffice 7.2.0.4 and 7.4.2.3 is constantly crashing and is unusable under MacOS Monterey and Ventura. Version 7.2.0.4 worked fine on my previous iMac (21.5"/2015) running Monterey. I then got a new iMac 24"/M1/2021. On this new iMac, LibreOffice 7.2.0.4 crashes constantly under Monterey and Ventura. I upgraded LibreOffice to the MacOS (Apple Silicon) version 7.4.2.3 but it still crashes and is unusable. The symptom is a spinning color wheel cursor, and the only thing I can do is force quit LibreOffice. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open a LibreOffice text document. 2.Wait a minute or two until LibreOffice freezes (spinning cursor).2 3. Actual Results: LibreOffice freezes and the only solution is to force quit. Expected Results: LibreOffice should not freeze while working on a document. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: None.
It appears the crashing/freezing happens when more than one LibreOffice documents are open at the same time.
I confirmed that the freezing/crashes occur only when multiple documents are open at the same time. I can have one text document open for hours or days with no problem, then if I open a second document (text or spreadsheet), LibreOffice will crash within less than a minute.
