Description dhina 2022-12-01 13:46:27 UTC
Description:
The color displayed on the "pick-up" window of the page background color does not match the real color (the smaller bottom color window is correct)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Writer
2. Side menu > PAge > Styles > Background
3. Click on the color menu > Custom color

Actual Results:
The color is not correct (see attached image) , even if you change the color in the main color window (see attached video)

Expected Results:
Color should match (see atatchement)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I tested on both MacOS's dark mode and light mode, and this is the same issue.

Wrong color

Color should match the current background page color

Dhina, thank you for the report. but I don't see a problem here: If you change settings of "Background" to "Color" page background displays default color "Lightblue 2". If I open pick up color dialog actual value is #729fcf. Press OK. Background color still the same as expected.

The only thing I can see, that display of vertical bar is wrong (red area is mared where it should be the blue)

So could you please specify the problem?

Dieter, sorry if I was unclear. I'm not talking about the color of the document directly, I'm talking about the color preview in the "Pick a color" window. The colors does not match between the top part and the bottom part, even if you update the color by clicking somewhere on the 2D color space. Is this clearer?

I'm gonna attach the same picture I already uploaded but with the two areas where I consider the colors should match.

How "Pick a Colour" looks in Windows

I can't confirm this (see attachment). Perhaps only a problem with Mac OS?

Wrong color (macOS light mode)

Would it be related to the changes made on this Dev version to support macOS dark Mode?

(but the issue also arise with macOS light mode (app restarted between the macOS mode change) - see attached).
