Can you provide the procedure that led to the problem to occur, and if you can capture some screen shots it will be helpful.
Comment 5 kli.sarah 2022-12-11 13:41:56 UTC
I open a file - Menu/Open or I clic on the file to open it.
The file open and in a few second it's closing without doing anything...
Or it stop and run and run and run. And I need to bypass to leave
It's the same with an .doc files, a .docx, a .odt, a .ods, a pttx, ...
I don't have any screen shot, it's crashing too fast...
Comment 6 Buovjaga 2022-12-12 07:09:35 UTC
Does the same happen with 7.4.3? What about an unstable build from https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
Comment 7 Alex Thurgood 2022-12-13 10:02:20 UTC
@kil.sarah : please test with the developer preview version of LibreOffice 7.5, available from the LibreOffice download site.

A fix was recently made in bug 148435, which may have fixed the issue you are reporting.

Hello, would you be able to use Quicktime to capture a video of your desktop and the events.... here is how you can do it...

https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT208721

If you can upload it as an attachment, then upload it; or create a document and explain the steps and capture screen shots of the key events from your video file, and upload as an attachment this document...

@kil.sarah : I see you have an onscreen virtual keyboard.

Does it still crash if you turn that off?

Answering this myself.

The onscreen virtual keyboard, which is an Apple-provided assistive technology functionality, causes an immediate SIGABRT when scrolling with the mouse.

cf. attached Apple trace.

Apple trace SIGABRT when scrolling with mouse
Comment 17 Alex Thurgood 2022-12-19 14:19:49 UTC
How to reproduce :

1) Turn on the macOS onscreen virtual keyboard under

System Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard > Assistive Keyboard

2) Open a new Writer document.

3) Attempt to type with physical keyboard, or scroll with the mouse.

4) Crash.

Comment 19 Alex Thurgood 2022-12-19 14:27:07 UTC
@kil.sarah : this bug has been confirmed as a duplicate of bug 148453.

Unfortunately, that bug report has received no attention since it was first reported in April 2022. This is often the case with accessibility issues on macOS for the LibreOffice project.

It's rigth, I have a probleme with my keyboard and use the virtual keybord.
And it seems to me your are rigth : it's ok with a wired keyboard but it's crashing with the virtual keyboard...
I try this days and confirm/unconfirm this analyse.
Thanks a lot
