Description: LO crashes often by normale usage. mostly I only use calc, so I'm nbiot able to tell if it crash also with writer/draw etc. as soon as I have activated skia, I notice the performance advantage, I also need... I only have to expect LO to crash 3-6 times in a working day. The crash occurs when I quickly switch between my three screens or within a large file in the registers or when I scroll quickly and perform a mouse click at the same time. Sometimes it just happens when I change a cell, I could not really provoke or reproduce the error. Have you trying to update the graphics driver from the vendor, I guess it is updated from win10. https://www.amd.com/en/support
Sounds like bug 149527
(In reply to m.a.riosv from comment #1) > Have you trying to update the graphics driver from the vendor, I guess it is > updated from win10. > > https://www.amd.com/en/support Yes, I have updated the the driver to latest version available from AMD.
(In reply to Telesto from comment #2) > Sounds like bug 149527 looks like it is the same problem, but I can reproduce the failure with the provided ods in 149527. neither on the PC at home (Win11 22H2 with Nvidia) nor on the PC at work (AMD WX3200) I need skia because without it is horrible to work with larger spread sheets.... ☺

Are you able to provide a crash report? Does LibreOffice offer that when you restart it after it crashed?
(In reply to Stéphane Guillou (stragu) from comment #7) > Are you able to provide a crash report? Does LibreOffice offer that when you > restart it after it crashed? for me there was no optionto create a log file. I will have a look on it at next time, at the moment I have updated all possible drivers and windows to latest stable builds
Would be great if you could also test the upcoming version 7.5 to see if the issue remains: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/?version=7.5.0 You can also try running the program from the Command Prompt to see if any interesting message shows right before it crashes: 1. Open Command Prompt 2. Run the soffice.bin executable by using the path to it, something like: "C:\Program Files\LibreOfficeDev 7\program\soffice.bin" (you will have to change it to the right path for your own installation)

Run the soffice.bin executable by using the path to it, something like: > "C:\Program Files\LibreOfficeDev 7\program\soffice.bin" > (you will have to change it to the right path for your own installation) I have updated to 7.5.0.1 and will have a look on it. But I'm not able to start the soffice.bin file directly on Win10 No I have created a batch file on Desktop to start the bin file with following command: [start "" "C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\soffice.bin"] Without [] of course I will keep you informed within the next few days
In windows, you can't run directly soffice.bin it is not an executable for the system. You must run soffice.exe or soffice.com. https://mikekaganski.wordpress.com/2018/11/21/proper-console-mode-for-libreoffice-on-windows/
just as an update: ► till now there was no new crash with: ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Version: 7.5.0.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: c0dd1bc3f1a385d110b88e26ece634da94921f58 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: de-DE Calc: CL threaded ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ so hopefully this topic is fixed.
Thank you for reporting back, Viktor. Crash happened with Skia/Vulkan while scrolling in Calc, and comment 13 shows that it doesn't crash anymore with Skia/Raster, so I'm calling this a duplicate of bug 149527. Version 7.3.0.3 was never mentioned so setting back to the one we are sure of, 7.4.4.1 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 149527 ***
