Description: I have a large spreadsheet with over 2000 rows. If I grab the thumb and scroll forward or backward for a large number of rows, after a while the scrolling will stop and the program will exit without saving changes. I've finally discovered the cause. If I move the mouse pointer off of the spreadsheet this problem will occur. If I keep the mouse pointer on the spreadsheet while scrolling it doesn't happen. Steps to Reproduce: 1. See description 2. 3. Actual Results: Calc closes without saving changes Expected Results: Shouldn't close. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.3.2.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 49f2b1bff42cfccbd8f788c8dc32c1c309559be0 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded

What do you mean by "grab the thumb"? Please also try with the more recent version of LibreOffice 7.3.7, as many bugs have been fixed since 7.3.2.
(In reply to Stéphane Guillou (stragu) from comment #3) > What do you mean by "grab the thumb"? > Please also try with the more recent version of LibreOffice 7.3.7, as many > bugs have been fixed since 7.3.2. The shaded rectangle in the scroll bar on the right side of the spreadsheet that shows your current position in the spreadsheet is commonly referred to as the "thumb". You click and hold on it with your mouse and then drag it up or down to quickly reposition to anywhere in the spreadsheet. That is what I'm referring to. You don't have to keep the mouse pointer on the thumb while you do this, and while moving long distances is apparently when the program shuts down. I'm currently on a cruise and am using my laptop. I have tried to reproduce the issue on this computer and can't. I use the trackpad on the laptop rather than a mouse so that may be the difference. When I return home I will update my software on my desktop and see if that makes a difference.

I can't reproduce with: Version: 7.4.3.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 1048a8393ae2eeec98dff31b5c133c5f1d08b890 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-GB (en_GB); UI: en-GB Calc: threaded I have tried dragging over the toolbars, the sidebar, and outside the window, but no crash. When you get time, please try a current release and see if you can still reproduce the issue. Thank you!
I am back home and updated my LibreOffice to version 7.4.3.2 and am still able to recreate the issue. I also tried with other spreadsheets and the only other one that has this problem is one with over 4000 rows on one of the sheets. The issue is exactly the same. When I drag the scroll bar thumb up and down it will eventually shut down the program. It is consistent with both of these large spreadsheets.
Can you please test with Skia turned off, and see if you can still reproduce the crash? (Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View) Can you also crash it while using the Page Up and Page Down keys?
I did as you asked and turned of Skia. This appears to have solved the problem. I have tested this over the last couple of days and the problem no longer appears. Thanks.
Thanks Larry. Pretty confident this is a duplicate of bug 149527. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 149527 ***
