Created attachment 184454 [details] screenshot bug libreoffice When using accents in a table, a cell break occurs. ----------------------------- Language: Spanish (Peru) SO openSUSE Leap 15.4 KDE: 5.24 Linux Kernel: 5.14
Zchronos, thank you for reporting the bug. It seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
Thanks, the version was the 7.3.7.2. Now I tried again with the 7.4.4.2 and the result is the same.
Zchronos, to be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your Libreoffice profile (https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) and re-test? Could you please also paste information frome Help -> About LibreOffice? => NEEDINFO
I test in "Safe Mode", same problem. (My information of Help -> About LibreOffice) Version: 7.4.4.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 85569322deea74ec9134968a29af2df5663baa21 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.14; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: es-PE (es_PE.UTF-8); UI: es-ES Calc: threaded
I don't know what cell break means, but when I use accents in table cells, nothing strange happens. I used es-PE locale to be sure. Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 74f398bb58510087cc4a11bb2253715771a2c6b2 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.2; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: es-PE (es_PE.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
"Cell break" means the same of "Page break" but with cells in a table. In the screenshot I open Writer and wrote: Texto de prueba áéíóú This is normal in the page, BUT in the table, in the cell, it only show "Texto de prueba ´" then the cursor go to the next cell and only show "´", and so.
which keyboard layout are you using in your OpenSUSE settings, zchronos? Does changing to an alternative layout change the behaviour? I couldn't reproduce on Ubuntu 20.04 with GNOME 3.36.8 with a German (dead tilde) layout and: Version: 7.4.6.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 5b1f5509c2decdade7fda905e3e1429a67acd63d CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: es-PE (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
I don't sure about the keyboard layout, so I share my conf: 1. $ localectl status System Locale: LANG=es_PE.utf8 LC_TIME=es_ES.UTF-8 VC Keymap: es X11 Layout: es X11 Model: pc105 X11 Options: terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp 2. $ cat /etc/default/locale: cat: /etc/default/locale: No existe el fichero o el directorio 3. $ cat /etc/default/keyboard: cat: /etc/default/keyboard: No existe el fichero o el directorio 4. $ setxkbmap -query: rules: evdev model: pc104 layout: es options: terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp 5. $ setxkbmap -print | grep xkb_symbols: xkb_symbols { include "pc+es+inet(evdev)+terminate(ctrl_alt_bksp)+terminate(ctrl_alt_bksp)" }; 6. $ setxkbmap -v | awk -F "+" '/symbols/ {print $2}': es 7. $ cat ~/.config/kxkbrc: [$Version] update_info=kxkb.upd:remove-empty-lists,kxkb.upd:add-back-resetoptions,kxkb_variants.upd:split-variants 8. $ xset -q | grep -A 0 'LED' | cut -c59-67: 00000002 9. /etc/vconsole.conf KEYMAP=es FONT=eurlatgr.psfu FONT_MAP= FONT_UNIMAP=
Zchronos, it seems, that nobody could confirm this bug since more than one year. So I‘d like to ask, if it is still reproducible for you. Could you please try to reproduce it with LO 24.2 or with a master build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
