Description: I've many fonts, and it's a dog waiting for anything to load, and heaven help me if I close out LO because I'm waiting again, and I figure the reason is it's loading all my fonts. At least for Windows, please have the Quickstarter initiate a low-priority process to start loading fonts so that LO isn't ridiculously slow to launch. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have 361 files in your Windows Fonts folder (97 fonts) 2. Launch LO 3. Observe Actual Results: Slow. Expected Results: Not slow. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.5.0.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 77cd3d7ad4445740a0c6cf977992dafd8ebad8df CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: CL threaded
Bad idea on my part. Using the quickstart created a weird lock state for every LO file I have, and the only way to fix was to turn off quickstart. I thought using it might help with the load times, but doing so just introduced additional problems. I'll log a bug against it at a later time when I have time.
