Description jhassett 2023-01-21 03:59:27 UTC
Description:
Libreoffice started crashing when using Calc and Writer. Generally I have two windows of either one or the other open and Youtube streaming in the background. Because it is streaming I can hear the music shuddering as Calc or Word struggles with a command (usually something very basic like scroll) and then shuts down. This is very unusual behaviour. Just happened again now with 4/5 docs open and windows.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Run Youtube with a video streaming music or whatever
2.Open Writer or calc and using the square thingy next to the X on the top right of the window arrange on one side of screen or have more than one doc open
3.Open another Writer doc and arrange on the other side of screen
4. Do somethng like scroll page.

Actual Results:
I dont know what your're asking for here

Expected Results:
It might crash. Its not a set series of steps. The only consistent element is Youtube streaming in the background. Thats how I know its about to crash.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Just kept doing its thing. Its only a problem since Dec 2022. I run the latest software of everything.

On which env are you? (Linux, macOS, Windows)
Last LO version is 7.4.4, could you give it a try and also apply https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps ?

jhasset, please update LibreOffice to a currently supported version: 7.4 or 7.5.
And let us know if the issue persists, pasting here the version information copied from Help > About LibreOffice.
Thank you!

Bug not currently recurring. I have updated to 7.4.5.1 and I will update again in due course. Thanks perhaps it has resolved itself. Will let you know if happens again.

Thank you for reporting back, jhassett.
Will close as "works for me" for now but please reopen if you can reproduce consistently.
