Description TorrAB 2023-01-21 15:21:41 UTC
Description:
Open BadCap.odt, put cursor between "a" and "i", insert "M", get "AlaMin" —OK.
Now try to insert (upper-case) "B" after "rr", get "Torrbens", with lower-case "b"
And select "Torrbens" and copy&paste it (^c, ^v) to a plain-text editor, get "TORRBENS", all-caps!
Do the same with "AlaMin": result is correct. Weird, weird…
But compliments to the programming team: Ver.7.4.4.2 looks great in darkMode!

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open BadCap.odt
2.try to insert "B" after "rr"
3.

Actual Results:
get "Torrbens", with lower-case "b"

Expected Results:
get "TorrBens", with upper-case "B"

Reproducible: Always

You have a direct format for 'orrens' as lowercase, which has priority over styles, clear it with [Ctrl+M] you see 'ORRENS'.
What you can do it's insert the 'B', select it, and clear their lowercase format with [Ctrl+M]
Comment 4 TorrAB 2023-01-31 00:30:19 UTC
Why do I "have a direct format for 'orrens' as lowercase" ?
Style Heading1 has FontEffects>Case = Without, not UPPERCASE.
^m should not uppercase 'orrens'
Why does inserting the M work differently?

Only you can know.
> Style Heading1 has FontEffects>Case = Without, not UPPERCASE.
Fine
> ^m should not uppercase 'orrens'
Because it was modified applying a direct format, which have precedence over styles.
> Why does inserting the M work differently?

BTW, enough for me.

I can only repeat m.a.riosv's analysis.
