Description swulf 2023-01-22 00:53:21 UTC
Description:
When using Dark Mode in Writer or Calc, it is noticed that the 'dark' shaded background of the icon bar/areas are not shaded (correctly/at all) if the program window is resized beyond a certain width horizontally. Below a certain width of the program window, the appearance is normal.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a document in Writer or Calc in 'Dark Mode'
2. Resize the window horizontally to the greatest extent possible on your display
3. Notice that the 'dark mode' background on the icon bar area(s) does not properly fill in on the left-hand side of the window.

Actual Results:
Dark mode background is not properly extended all the way across the icon bar area(s) to the left.

Expected Results:
Dark mode background would be properly extended all the way across the icon bar area(s) to the left.

Reproducible: Always

What "dark mode" exactly are you using? Do you mean Window's systemwide dark mode, or the theme in LibreOffice's Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Personnalisation ?

I am using (i.e. from within Writer): Tools | Options | Personalisation and selecting one of the colour options under 'Preinstalled Theme'.

Reproduced with:

Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 1c638b7ac46d8077994c8483e6becc4a33efd12b
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: default; VCL: win
Locale: en-GB (en_GB); UI: en-GB
Calc: threaded

I extended my Windows 10 VM's display size to 3500×2000 and could see that the theme would not extend beyond 3000 px on the left of the window.

It's actually already reported many times over in bug 131023, I hadn't realised.

Thanks swulf!
