Description: Clicking Apply on Automatic (Breeze (dark)) seems to improve things, but there is not a way to go back to a light theme as far as I know without changing the entire system. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Libreoffice 2. Have dark theme active 3. Actual Results: Icons are difficult to view, seems to not be able to go back to a light theme individually (switching the system for everything works) Expected Results: Problems with viewing apparent light themes in dark system mode. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: https://twitter.com/JeremySCook/status/1621154648458690561
Sadly a known issue, that libreoffice is not following system dark | light mode setting. This imo is a duplicate of #152184 Feel free to add your voice to that bug as it has been set to wontfix. It is a somewhat complex issue to tackle since LibreOffice is complex and being cross-platform doesn't make properly following system defaults across the various OSs easier. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 152184 ***
Hm maybe not a duplicate after all but similar to #152184. So setting to NEW as this is a valid request.
Which icon theme are you seeing when starting in safe mode? For me in 7.5.0.3 that is: Automamtic (Sukapura) We need a different icon them to support dark mode: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153465 And we need support to automatically update icon theme to match system appearance: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148086 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 153465 ***
