Description Ron Hale 2023-02-04 20:33:21 UTC
Description:
I will be editing a writer document, and it will disapear, aloug with all other open writer documents. The app is closed and when I go to the containing folder ato open it, I am ask if I want to restore the lost doccuments. A positive response will restore the working document with the last saved edits. I do not whether there has been data loss in any other open documents.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Unknown - seems to be random with a long time period
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Unknown - seems to be random with a long time period

Expected Results:

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It would help if I could copy the Help | about info. Iy you need that, I have a BMP copy, but do not see a way to include it yet.

It is too much for an old man to type with one hand.

To attach a file, you can just use the link https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?bugid=153382&action=enter and select the file you want to upload. (I'm not sure, I think maximum size is 10MB)

The file you attached isn't the image but just a text file containing:
C:\Users\ron_h\Pictures\LibreOffice bug report info dated 4 Feb 23.bmp
=> I'll put this one as obsolete since it won't help.

About "about info", in dialog box, you got an icon at right of "Version Information", it copies all info below so then you can paste it here.

Now about the problem, 2 things you can try:
1) Upgrade to last LibreOffice version 7.4.5
2) Apply https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps#Corrupted_user_profile

There are no steps to go through, so let's close.
