Description Ivan 2023-02-09 19:10:49 UTC
Description:
I don't have LibreOffice automatic startup enabled. At some point in the day, I open up LibreOffice writer for the first time that day and usually click something in the docked navigation pane. Sometimes, I interact with the document (entering text, searching for text via CTRL+F) before interacting with the navigation pane. The first instance of this crash happened I tried resizing the pane. It then crashed at least 3 times (3 different days) after I clicked on a heading, subheading, etc.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start up PC (from shutdown state)
2. Open LO Writer document
3. Click anywhere on the navigation pane

Actual Results:
The program crashes and I am prompted to submit a crash report (which I do). The submission process has stalled/frozen once. I then get a follow-up dialog which tells me I successfully submitted a bug report, but visiting the provided link to the report always sends me to a "not found" page.

Expected Results:
LibreOffice Writer should not have crashed. Incidentally, there should be a crash report.

Reproducible: Always

I think this should be fixed by https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?h=libreoffice-7-5&id=c3af56a1fe2fa8b004a445743478da610cf9af22
Could you please try again with a daily build from https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/libreoffice-7-5/?

Hi Xisco, I tried the dev build from 7 Feb and couldn't replicate the crash. I restarted the computer and tried the regular version and it crashed as usual. It seems you've found the problem and there's already a fix on the way. Thanks for your help!
