Description Ryan Johnson 2023-02-11 23:49:25 UTC
Description:
I have a document with sections that are back to back, with no whitespace between them. The sections themselves are links to other documents and are therefore uneditable. There is no way to place the typing cursor (I-beam, caret, whatever) between sections. This is a design flaw.
I need to insert new sections between them, but there is no way to move sections up and down in the section list in the navigator view. This is a design flaw.

1. Enable mouse/keyboard to go to the space between sections when "Formatting marks" display mode is enabled. Perhaps even when it's not enabled.
2. Enable reordering sections.

Both need to exist. These are just normal expected features.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create sections that links to external document.
2. Remove whitespace between them.
3. Try to insert anything at all between the two sections.

Actual Results:
failure

Expected Results:
success

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I'm hungry.

1. Place cursor at end of first section.
2. Press Alt+Enter
3. Enter text as desired between the two sections.

Does that resolve the issue?
