Description: Getting black backgrounds in menus occasionally, in this release version, which makes menus unreadable. Not noticed a behaviour pattern to replicate it. Other active software on Win10x64 has dark themes active. Fixes upon restart of software. Related, icons/thumbnails in Windows recent files list are not right. The icons are replaced with block grey slabs, with incorrect background colours. These two anomalies seem related. Steps to Reproduce: No notieable pattern (yet). Actual Results: N/a Expected Results: Dark theme should be honoured in icons for this software in recent files list. Dark them background should NOT be used in Writer menus, if the theme is normal. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-GB Module: TextDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Windows (All) OS is 64bit: no

7.4.5 does not activate Windows Dark mode theme support by default. You have to activate with Tools -> Options -> Advanced 'Enable experimental features (may be unstable)' Also, do not make use of the Tools -> Options -> Personalizion 'Preinstalled Theme' selections. Use only the 'Default look, do not use Themes' radiobutton. Otherwise seems to be bug 151756, and Windows Dark mode theme support is enabled by default in the 7.5 release and already improved further for the 7.6 trunk--with backports to 7.5 for much of the effort. In short move to 7.5 or remain in a Windows Light theme mode with 7.4 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 151756 ***
