Description Richard Marchessault 2023-02-15 19:24:32 UTC
Description:
I often include videos and images on slides. I frequently elect to insert these as a link to the file. This works fine, but the address of the link is not visible. Impress knows where to find the linked file when the presentation is loaded, but I cannot see anyway to view the actual link address. When this happens, I have to spend time looking for the location and name of the linked file. Since this is known to Impress, it sure would be nice to be able to view it. Perhaps on the right click menu for the object, automatically saved as a description. This would be helpful when a presentation is edited or moved.

If you have inserted a linked media file, you can see its path by opening View - Toolbars - Media Playback and then with the media selected, looking at the toolbar.

The Properties deck of the Sidebar doesn't display the file path.

I will close this as a duplicate of an older report, which requests that video links be visible in Edit - External links.
