Created attachment 185585 [details] screendump If I have more than one window open and the mouse is (wthout click) over the 'lower' window it becomes the active window. Also sometimes if you select the lower window in the windows menu it doesn't open. This problem is rather recent and occurs with (a combination of) text and calc windows.
Thank you Dick. This has been reported previously in bug 152173. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 152173 ***
Hi Stéphane, Good to hear that is has been recognised as a bug. I hope it can be resolved soon. Is there a possibility to go back to an earlier version of LO which does not have this issue? Regards, Dick
People have been reporting it since 7.3.7. It is possible that earlier version do not have the issue. I can find previous releases here: https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ If you do find that an earlier version wasn't affected, please report your findings in bug 152173 as that would make the issue more pressing. Thank you!

I do not see the comment I just made, so I repeat: I installed 7.0.0.1: same problem. I also notice that the active window differs from the checked one (see attachment a few minutes ago: untitled 2 is active, untitled 1 is checked)
Please let me know if you want me to test an earlier version
I downloaded LO 6.4.7.2: same problem; also checked window differs from open window. can this problem be related to LO on ventura 13.2.1? yesterday I experienced with LO 7.4.5.1 open that f.i. Apple preview windows had the same problem (as reported in earlier commments on this issue), which does not happen if LO is closed
