Description andres 2023-02-27 17:25:08 UTC
Description:
in menu Options > Charts > Predefined colors it is impossible to save a color schema other than the predefined one. Every time you try to save or apply your new or changed N. data series color program will discard every change and display back the default ones.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a chart
2. open menu option
3. choose charts
4. choose predefined colors

Actual Results:
predefined colors won't change

Expected Results:
new color schema should be saved in options

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I've done an upgrade from version 7.1 to 7.5 and now I'm facing this problem.
Obviously previous version would work fine...

Thanky Andres and Lesline!

This was recently fixed, it is tracked in bug 153172.
The fix is available in a recent master build (built after commit 9d6c5f13ff031c18d3c117e4de212e2550d24e8c was merged) and will be in versions 7.5.2 and 7.4.6

Please feel free to test the fix in those versions!

Hi there, LibreOffice Helpers @ DocumentFoundation,

well, first of all thank you for the fast feedback and of course I will try the fix in the new versions posted.

In addition to this bug, as an improvement of LibreOffice product, I suggest that it would be helpful to modify and save also other presets of data series, like borders, line type, color of borders, area, transparency and any other option of the selected chart type, not only the colors.

to explain better, when I create a new graph, it is created with these default values that are not editable, such as: Color bars WITHOUT borders, no transparency, no gradients and so on.
It would be useful that in the options menu, chart, in addition to Predefined colors, there should also be these other options.

Thanks again, and best regards, Andres

I think this should be covered by the "chart styles" enhancement request in bug 62925. Please feel free to CC yourself there.

Thank you!
