Description Michel AUTEM 2023-03-02 17:19:28 UTC
Description:
The "power" function doesn't work in Calc. For example, it is impossible to calculate the square or the cube of a number.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Put a number in a cell. Ex. "37" in B2
2.Make a reference to this cell in the next one. Ex. "=B2" in B3
3.Try to calculate the square or the cube of B3. Ex. "=B2²" in B3

Actual Results:
-> I get only a "#NAME" error message in the cell.

Expected Results:
(37² =) 1369

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
(37² =) 1369

This is either
=37^2

or equivalent notation using cell address:

=A1^2

=A1^A2

or use the POWER function.

Please next time perform a web search, or go to ask.libreoffice.org.
