Pref setting View view

When switched to light mode,
after closing and restarting
on a system in dark mode
LO starts in dark mode again.
Then need to go to view settings and it says light mode.
To get it to light mode, need to switch it out and on again.

You are correct, the Light (and possibly dark) explicit setting does not override what is set by the system

Not reproducible in main build.

Could you install LibreOffice nightly build and see if the problem persists using that build:

There is a remaining problem when switching themes but that is a different issue than what is reported here:
