Description Konrad Marek 2023-03-15 12:31:56 UTC
Description:
Libre Office 7512 centering vertically the text in the middle doesn't work for the whole line(s ) , only for the first cell.

Actual Results:
I can't fix it myself

Expected Results:
the input line is too narrow (and cannot be scaled larger). Parenthesis are usually too close to the adjacent letters, so placing the cursor is quite fizzly.
x*($B$7+8)/$C$9... there are so many Fonts, but none can discern all difficult letters: Aa É °°^<> JiIlL1lijoOctTC(o0O)Source Serif Pro Light, Greek l L
The Menue band takes too much place, it should be foldeable.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
this is a mix of complaints and proposals.

Hi Konrad
Please keep one single issue per bug report, as it makes it very difficult to action them.

Focusing on the vertical centering here, I tried the following steps:
1. New Calc document
2. Increase height of row 1 to see differences in vertical alignment
3. Input text in A1:S1
4. Select whole row and use Format > Align text > Center

Result: works as expected.

Tested with:
Version: 7.5.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: fcbaee479e84c6cd81291587d2ee68cba099e129
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Can you please provide precise steps in which vertical alignment does not work? Perhaps starting with the file you shared?
