glade preview of proposed redesign

Attached is Glade preview screenshot for proposed redesign of Caption Options dialog.

Main features:

1. groups options under meaningful section titles
2. organizes sections starting with the one that affects greater number of users, and then downward.
3. better labelling (i.e., more accurate presentation of the function of each option)

Comparison with current dialog
1. (has poor section titles)
2. (no apparent logic to section ordering)
3. (labels are wrong, hard to understand in Category and Frame Format section)

How about adding GtkAlignment to start all dropdowns at the same position (and fill the dialog)? Larger redesign proposal in bug 153248.
Comment 3 Adolfo Jayme Barrientos 2023-03-16 13:39:55 UTC
Also, the labels should be left-aligned.

Proposal here drawn from bug 153248, comment 8.
Intended as incremental improvement.
No problem if modified later in larger redesign.

Seth, is it already fixed? Could we close this one?

> Seth, is it already fixed?
Yes. Looks much better. Should be approved by those BZ citizens who ask regularly for transparent interface (without having to read help). Plus, it was changed to follow design guidelines for dialogs.

> Could we close this one?
Closing as FIXED.
