Description yaff1e@yahoo.co.uk 2023-03-17 22:45:06 UTC
Description:
LibreOffice Writer displays pages with spaces which I used to be able to toggle to become run-on, and this no longer works since a Dell update. I used to be able to insert the cursor into the space between pages and click for it to become a single sheet with only faint lines. Now I can't.
I don't understand much of the rest of this page.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.line breaks
2.
3.

Actual Results:
I have [layed with everything that looked related, and kept checking on a page, and it stays the same/

Expected Results:
Same, instead of toggling.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

I cannot copy this, or see what is relevant to write in.

For me works double click.

version 7.3.2.2 (x64)
build 49f2b1bff42cfccbd8f788c8dc32c1c309559be0
cpu threads 8
os windows 10
build 22621
user interface UI render skia/raster VCL win
en-GB (en_GB) UI en-US
calc threaded

Sorry to be so slow copying something I don't understand by hand. But thanks for telling me where to find what you needed.

Yes, it has always worked with a double-click, no problem, until a recent update.

Only a minor problem but it's an irritation when I want to present a finished article for instance. I don't want to go back to Word on principle, but I am in my 80s and finding it hard to transfer. I have other problems that are worse, like how interact with people who use Word. They can read and copy my documents, but I can't reciprocate.

Thank you for helping.

You don't need to copy it by hand. There is a button you can click to place the info into the clipboard.

Double-clicking works fine for me. This feature can also be toggled by View - Whitespace

Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: c4a58634753a84b09f20f7271d6525a6656522d3
CPU threads: 2; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22621; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win

Can you reproduce the problem if you go to Help - Restart in safe mode and then Continue in safe mode? Do you also see this with the latest version, 7.5.2?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
