Description petetorode 2023-03-26 15:52:40 UTC
Description:
I have tested in Writer and Calc only. there are no issues testing with NVDA and on my limited testing the software works correctly.

Using JAWS (most Current Version available at the time of reporting Menu bar is read when pressing Alt+ letter however no menu is read when using arrow keys to move around the menu. Both Writer and Calc impacted.

Windows Narrator does not provide any spoken feed back at all including any text endered or (in calc) cell selected.

JAWS reads Cell co-ordinates but does not provide indication of cell selection.

NVDA provides correct feedback on selection.

NVDA version is the latest production software windows 10 is fully up to date at the time of writing.

My machine is an Acer Aspire Laptop with Intel I5 7 Gen processor *GB of RAM and 256GB storage.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. when Writer or calc are opened press (for example) Alt + F to open the file menu.
2. use down arror to move down the menu Nothing is read in JAWS or Narrator (note Narrator is totally silent through access to software)
3. use left or right arrows to move across the menu bar menu titles are read in JAWS.1.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Vertical menus are not read in JAWS and nothing is spoken in Narrator

Expected Results:
Spoken feedback should be heard to read the menu item

Reproducible: Always

Please retest with JAWS with the 7.5.2 build when released; NARRATOR is not a valid AT for application use. And as noted, NVDA works well.
