As indicated in https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/scalc/guide/line_fix.html, you must freeze the column c+1 or row r+1. So: - if you want to freeze column A, you must select column B and use freeze. - if you want to freeze row 1, you must select row 2 and use freeze.
