At present, AutoCaption seems to work only when objects are inserted (see bug 154682). If that is the intention, then, afaict, there is no situation where the "Apply border and shadow" option could/would actually apply. If that analysis is correct, then: 1. Remove "Apply border and shadow" 2. Remove "Category and Frame Format" label 3. Move "Character Style" (between "Before caption" and "Position") 4. The extended tip for "Character Style" must be corrected (and probably add a tooltip to indicate that it is applied to category and caption number
The option is available only for images but no idea what it is good for since neither raster nor vector graphics know the concept "shadow" and "border" or pick it up for the caption frame. Not to speak what the supposed workflow is.
What is "apply border and shadow" _supposed_ to mean in the context of auto-caption?
We discussed the topic in the design meeting. The participants decided to dig into the issue and find out what exactly the option is good for and how to use it before hiding it. Side note: There seem to be issues with autocaption, checking the option does not add the caption after inserting a chart via toolbar.
