Since 7.4.0.0 I noticed an increased frame thickness of the selected cell cursor (2px -> 3px), which looks a bit odd to me; it also makes some cells harder to read. Can the thickness be configured somewhere? I cannot seem to find a setting for this.

That was by design, the cursor now scales with the zoom level, and is even on either side of the border. See bug 143733. Can you share a screenshot where it makes cells harder to read? Heiko, there's no expert configuration to change it, is there?

I see. > Can you share a screenshot where it makes cells harder to read? Well, I can add a screenshot of a trivial example. The "2" gets cut off slightly (which is not a big issue, but I would say its suboptimal). Zoom level is 100%.

Created attachment 188603 [details] comparison at 100% zoom in 7.3 vs 7.4 Thank you, I see the same at 100% zoom. Some options: - follow bug 108240 for an alternative that would draw outside of cell and border - turn this into an enhancement request that asks for a setting that gives more control (thickness as a percentage of default? choose between proportional and not proportional? - but not sure if it will be picked up
There is no config switch or expert setting for this. I suggest to follow the mentioned ticket => DUP. Or challenge the decision/patch on bug 143733 ultimately asking to revert / make optional.
Ok, thank you. Reopened bug 143733 now.
