Drawing Canvas with fill

Open attached document. The Drawing Canvas should have a blue color. Because a Drawing Canvas is imported as group and groups cannot have fill of its own, there should be an additional rectangle for the background, similar as it is done in case of SmartArt. Of cause, if there is no fill or stroke, then such rectangle could be omitted.
