Description luan.estevez.d 2023-04-20 06:21:18 UTC
Description:
After saving a presentation using Impress, shade/gradient (don't know exactly how it is in English since I use it in Italian) a tick appears in "Automatic" so the chose number isn't saved and the colors of the background are left with shading and not with wide coloured strings following the colours I set.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Left click on the background and select "slide properties..."
2.Select above "shade/gradient"
3.Unselect "automatic" below "Increasing" and set as number "3"
4. In type select "axial/axis"
5. Add and save shade/gradient

Actual Results:
It worked and the shade was saved, infact if I tried to change the the background and then resetting the one I created it was visible as I created it. After saving the file and reopen it, the shade saved and so the background looked/was set in automatic and the colors weren't wide string but a normal colour gradient in axial/axis.

Expected Results:
It should have showed the shade in the background as I added it before saving the file.

Reproducible: Always

Comment 1 Regina Henschel 2023-05-06 22:04:11 UTC
The step count does not belong to the gradient definition which can be saved with "Add", but it is a setting of the individual object. So strictly this would be "Not ab bug".

But there is indeed a problem, because the dialog does not show the value of the current page, for which the dialog is opened. But it shows the default "automatic".

BTW, adding a gradient is broken, in case the dialog is opened for a page, see bug 103916 and bug 107787.

The implementation of gradients has changed in LibreOffice version 7.6. The reset of the "automatic" check box should be fixed then. Version 7.6 will be released end of August. You can already test a prerelease from https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/libreoffice-7-6/

To original reporter: can you confirm the issue is gone in 7.6?
