Description: I noticed that when I generate a Table of Contents, it doesn't use the numbering format which is used on the page. (Expected "iv, v, vi, 1, 2, 2", got "4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 2"). I get this might be harder to achieve since page might have no number field or multiple of them, but this just doesn't look very good. The alternative of having the user set the numbering style in the ToC based on the (page?) style doesn't sound very feasible to me. I think the most sense would make to create a new ToC formatting token which would take this into account, taking either the style of the first page number on the given page, or the previous style in case there is none. Created attachment 186848 [details] Table of Contents, where pages in the preface are numbered in arabic instead of roman, which would be expected
Please provide the *document* sample; the image does not allow to see the problem cause, only shows what you see. My guess would be, that you use the page number field's format, instead of the proper definition of the numbering in the relevant page style.
Ah, I thought that might be a thing, but I wasn't sure, so I didn't really look for it that well. You're absolutely right, thanks!
(In reply to dolezvo1 from comment #3) Good; note that if you set up page styles, you would not to adjust fields at all :)
