Description: The preview of the equation editor is normally too small. To check what you are actually writing you have to close is to see the equation en then reopen the editor. You have to do it several time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert an equation 2. set font size bigger than 12 (22 in my case) 3. write a formula, like: %delta vec v = left( binom { %delta v_x }{ %delta v_y }right)= left ( matrix{frac{partial }{} # <?> ## <?> # <?>} right ) Actual Results: I can see in the preview just the "%delta vec v = left( binom { %delta v_x" part Expected Results: See all the formula, so I can check for errors Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: I used "Quick test for corrupted profiles: use a temporary, new user profile" and got same result

What zoom value is showing in the sm Formula Editor as you add an OLE object. Does adjusting the zoom bar impact the frame of the OLE? Could be os/DE specific. But can not confirm on Windows builds, no issue inserting an OLE formula to Writer canvas. The zoom bar for OLE sm module shows at 100%, and the OLE frame autosizes and fits without scroll bars during the input session. Although we do still have the OLE frame behavior in Impress session similar to what is described in OP for Writer. That is see also bug 81285 =-testing-= Version: 7.5.2.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 53bb9681a964705cf672590721dbc85eb4d0c3a2 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: default; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Also, the 7.3.7 build is EOL--there has been work on the sm module since.
